Restoring Dignity. Rebuilding Lives. Empowering Women Who Served
At SRTKA Enterprise Foundation Inc., we believe no woman who has served our country should ever be left without a home. Founded by women veterans, we are building SUNAGO Village: a safe, stable community where displaced women veterans can heal, grow, and thrive. Through compassionate housing solutions, holistic life services, and strong alliances, we will restore dignity, honor service, and empower each woman to rise with strength, purpose, and independence.
SRTKA (Start. Rising. Through. Keen. Alliances.) Enterprise Foundation Inc. is a women veteran–founded private nonprofit committed to ending the displacement of women veterans by creating a sustainable, holistic model of housing and care. We exist to ensure that no woman who wore the uniform is left behind.
At the heart of our mission is the SUNAGO Village model, a safe, stable community in Piedmont, Alabama, where women veterans can access both secure housing and comprehensive life services in one integrated setting. On our 18-acre property, we will dedicate 14 acres to affordable, trauma-informed housing for displaced women veterans and their children, and 4 acres to facilities providing essential support services through our Life Services Division.
Unlike fragmented systems that force women veterans to travel long distances and navigate disconnected agencies, SRTKA offers a one-stop, holistic continuum of care: addressing mind, body, and spirit while fostering community reintegration. Our services will be trauma-informed, peer-led, and designed to empower women with dignity, stability, and independence.
We stand apart because we will:
Focus exclusively on the unique needs of displaced women veterans, a historically overlooked population.
Provide both housing and essential services within one community-centered model.
Operate through keen alliances to deliver layered, sustainable support.
Embed veteran voices and lived experiences in every program we design.
